Hi Guys,

Can somebody confirm what are the stock tires that
I think its the tracking etc

Are the tyres any good? Cheap not heard of brands make a difference.

The steering is light, but consistent.

The Tipo is not you're typical Italian car, its designed and built in Turkey.

Its quite a lazy chassis, doesn't turn in quickly, but very comfortable and with decent tyres, quite grippy. If you keep it balanced and don't upset it by throwing it around, you can make decent progress.

I went from an Abarth 595 to a diesel Tipo very different, but I really liked it, in a different way.

We have a 500x Sport and there are times when I miss the Tipo, an underrated car
Hi Richard,

I have done the tracking adjustment and that improved things, but I think the major issue as you said and I overlooked at the time is with the tires. I have a pair of very cheap not heard of tires in front and on the back axel the tires are not even paired (one is cheap not heard of the other is Continental)!

I am considering to change the tires, any suggestion for a tire? Do you happen to know what were the factory fitted tires?

Thanks!

Mine had Continental EcoContact tyres fitted (I've found the advert from when it was sold!)
Continentals would make a difference.
Given the choice I'd go for Michelins, if I can afford to change all 4 tyres
If you have cheapies all round any decent brand is an improvement, get the best for your budget

Mine came on same continentals too, same as my mate’s. I hate those tyres, but we’re better than Chinese. Still have full set with decent thread if interested and frequently go to London so can drop off. My choice is Goodyear Eagle f1 asymmetric 5, but that’s me. Continental were really gutless, maybe because they are design as eco tyre?

One of the best choices would be Continetnal PremiumContact 7. They respond excellent even in demanding conditions and spirited driving.
