Hi,
So the 1.4 75hp Punto doesnt want to start anymore..
Took the starter off the car, connecting it to the battery only starts spinning the gear, but doesnt push the gear out.
Is there anything special on this starter that this is normal, or do i have a bad solenoid the problem?

Bought another one (used one) the same thing happens.. the gear spins but doesnt push outwards.

Looking at the two cables, both of them connect to the top bolt of the starter right?
One goes on one side of the plastic, one on the other.

Yeah, so going forward i found out the starter works as it should.. so the problem must be somewhere else.. But turning on the ignition doesnt sound like it even pushes the gear out, so i think that could be the problem.. something with the command wire, will check voltage on start if anything comes down to the start on that wire, i already checked for grounds and they seem to be good. Need to find the wiring diagram for it, any guesses what else the problem could be? When i turn on the ignition the relay is shaking and making a weird sound, but tried swapping them and the problem is still there...
