Hi everyone,
I have a Fiat Bravo 1.9 Mjet 16v and I'm hearing a squeaking noise when turning the steering wheel, but only at a specific angle (around 180°). It sounds like metal on metal, starting with a quick "click" and turning into a longer squeak after driving for a while. The noise gets worse with outside temperature and after longer drives, and it happens when driving over bumps too.
It seems to almost disappear in wet conditions.
The upper shock absorber mount has already been replaced, so that's ruled out.
This video was recorded after driving for about 40 km and it was hot outside, so the sound was loud and very noticeable.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any idea what this might be?
