Hi I'm new to the Fiat Forum. I understand from scanning various posts, as well as my local dealer, and from a fellow 500 Sport Forum member, that Fiat have stopped doing the sport version

. I really wanted a new sport 1.4.(or TwinAir Sport very possibly). When I went on the Fiat configurator 15 minutes ago, it still let me configure a brand new 1.4 sport and twin air sport

. Have Fiat changed their mind, or am I missing something, ie have Fiat just not updated the configurator? What's the likelihood of there still being some unregistered volare blue 1.4 or twin air sports still at dealers?

Hi HolmfirthAiden.
I wouldn't mind the configurator.
They have left the Sport model up there so you have a bit of a play with it.
From what I understand there's plenty of unregistered models around.
Get the impression from previous posts that you're keen on the Volare Blue.
Have you organinsed a test drive so you can decide if the Twin Air is the one for you ?
If the TA suits there's good value in the 'Twin Air' if you are OK about the black wavey alloys.

EDIT:
Hiya mate. Was wondering if it was your 500 in the members motor gallery, as yours is pretty unique.I had 2 test drives yesterday, a twin air pop and 1.4 lounge. Dealer told me I can't order a sport any more and I wasn't too keen on the twin air pluses black alloys. Haven't ordered yet as can't decide between the twin air or 1.4, but my heart says 1.4, either way it'll be a lounge in Volare blue with standard alloys and black leather and rear spoiler. I'm going to ask the dealer if he can get me 16" multispoke alloys for free, bit cheeky, but worth a try, he can only say No. How's your little beauty doing?

Aiden - you should be able to get a dealer to do a search on colour - see what's around in the volare blue as a starting point. But as handbags above says you should get out and do some test driving!

The new twin air and twin air plus models come only in "sporty" colours which doesn't include the Volare Blue unfortunately :(

EDIT: I don't know how it works but can't you get a spoiler added as a dealer option? Then you could buy a lounge TA or 1.4 in the colour option you want and stick the spoiler on at the end to make it look sporty?

I would have thought there will be some TA Volare Blue Sport cars around the dealer network, not sure about the 1.4 as Fiat don't appear to have been selling many of that model since the TA became available. What options are you looking for if any?

Did you see the discussion at https://www.fiatforum.com/500/278007-arnold-clark-1-2-500-sport-supply-problem.html - Pauk8 wanted a black 1.2 Sport and managed to find one in the end sat in a local dealership.

I would have bought my wife a 1.2 Sport as she likes the Sport interior. Unfortunately she also wanted Dualogic plus ESP/hill holder to go with that. As that's a rare combination my dealer couldn't find one. This was just after the Sport order book closed. In the end we ordered a 1.2 Lounge with leather to get as good, if not better interior.

Thanks for the replies guys. Well I went and test drove both 1.4 and twin air engines again. The 1.4 still has the edge for me... I won't be using it for work as the school I teach at is only 10 mins walk away, unless it's chucking it down. The 1.4 just seemed more involving and nippier/sportier on the motorway. Part of me keeps thinking I should go 'greener'.
Anyway, ordering tomorrow a 1.4 Lounge in Volare Blue with black leather, 16" o-spoke alloys and red callipers, and rear spoiler to be fitted/painted by the dealer. I'll probably change my mind half a dozen times before I get there.

Thanks for the update Aiden.
On the green bit - the 1.4 is has the lowest Nitrogen Oxide emissions of the cars in the 500 range but Manufactures have cottoned on to fiddling with the CO2 emissions because that is what the government are basing their tax on currently. Figures are given here. So you should have a clear conscious. I have attached a review in last week's TG on the CX7 with Maxda claiming to have the lowest NOx figure - there's a little bit about the 500 - ignore the reference to the Panda - the 500 has a Anti-Roll Bar (ARB) which the 100HP hasn't got.:)
Interesting about your motorway experience but I thought you might like a little read of this.
P.S. Love the choice of the 5o-spokes - they really suit the colour choice you've gone for. If you are looking for any input on the colour choice of the Leather don't hesitate to ask.
