Quick question:
If i hold my steering wheel dead straight, my Fiat 500 Sport drifts to the right.
To compensate, i have to turn the steering wheel anti-clockwise (slightly) to keep the car driving straight.

Can the steering wheel be adjusted? ..or is it a wheel alignment issue?

Many thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Take it for a wheel alignment check, most reputable tyre places will check for free and only charge if it needs adjusting. From what you’ve said I’m guessing the alignment has been knocked out so definitely needs checking before it starts to wreck the tyres

Many thanks for the reply. I will take car to an alignment place. Originally i had wondered if it was possible for the steering wheel out of position, as i have not seen how the steering wheel is fitted.

Yes, as @Greasytrucker says, Tyre specialist.
To alter at steering wheel, if even possible as many have a master spline, it would still involve disabling the Air bag on the steering wheel to do it.
If fault was a result of a knock to the steering, then it want's checking anyway.
It is always possible if steering has been adjusted at some point, that only one track rod was altered causing the steering wheel to be out of alignment due to unequal lengths of thread.

I’d put money on the reason it’s not driving straight is either A. The wheel alignment has been knocked out, or B. As @bugsymike said, someone has fitted a new track rod end and not had it aligned afterwards. Either way it’s easily solved, albeit slightly expensive. Still cheaper to get it realigned than costing you a pair of tyres 🙂
