Technical Someone make this clear and simple

If this is the logic people used all the time there would be no such thing as car "modding" and sites this this would become pointless... and are you honestly trying to say you haven't added or fitted anything to your car that has taken some adjustment or modifying at all? I personally would much rather go to the very SMALL effort of buying some correction bolts and spacers for some quality wheels than just "moving on" and getting less appealing one just because they will bolt strait on with no fuss.

So to answer this very confusing thread that was intended to be (clear and simple) yes they will fit with correction bolts and spigot rings and they would look sweeet!(y) ahhhhhhh!
You're missing the point. I'm the king of duct tape and safety wire, but that doesn't mean that buying the correct component shouldn't be a viable option. For example, the dealer offered me a set of alloy winter wheels at a good price (with some cheap Korean snow tires) when I bought my GP, but they required both correction bolts and spigot rings. Instead, I bought a set of wheels of the exact same type but with the correct fitment AND with Michelin Alpin tires from a wheel/tire outlet and saved money in the process. Now I have better wheels, much better tires, and a few Euros in my pocket. The point is that often times it's not that hard to do it right.

If the OP were considering accepting a set of FREE wheels of the wrong type or if they were somehow the ONLY attractive wheels in the world, I might offer different advice. But they aren't free and there are literally thousands of different wheels on the market and some of them are quite nice. I say "keep shopping".

I'm not throwing away my duct tape and safety wire and I certainly have plenty of experience in making-do, but I also know that just because I CAN make a silly decision doesn't mean that I SHOULD make a silly decision.

Don't get me wrong, buying FIAT alloys, or other aftermarket ones that will fit straight onto my car no problems would save ALOT of hassle. It would probably even save me money.

But...

When we mod/tweak/change our car we all have different ideas, or characteristics we like to stick to. Some like to use all OEM parts. Others will prefere all aftermarket parts. Then there are those who float between the two. I myself like to do things sensibly, generally. But the alloys in question are very nice alloys, and would look very good on a GP. They aren't for the GP, but taking money out of the equation, and hassle or effort, i believe it to be worth the difficulty/hassle/time/money to get them on the car. In the spirit of modding my car, my way.

Who was it who had Porsche Alloys on their GP on here recently? Not a direct fit, but if you can, and you don't mind the effort/time/hassle/money then why the hell not?

For every person who agrees with this, there will be another who doesn't. There will be people on here who can't see the point in modding any aspect of their car. They are neither right nor wrong, its a matter of opinion at the end of the day.

And yes, i've considered buying viable components, but i also think about the 'different' things i could do :D
