system is being fitted at L.A.D. in Morecambe on Friday 5th Feb so unfortunately won't be on for this weekend.

They will be doing a power run as well to see what the gains are.
Are those the guys who do lots of 205's? Sure I've heard that name before.

well it's on and am very pleased with it
it has totally transformed the power delivery of the car as well - now pulls strongly from 2500 rpm - just like an 8v engine
when you get above 5k rpm it makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up
also 6th gear is the only gear you need on the motorway now, will pull from 50 mph no problem whereas before it needed a downshift
lovely sound on the over-run too, and average mpg has risen from 35 mpg to 40 mpg
the only question remaining is why don't Fiat make them like this...?

I am interested in seeing some pictures and maybe video of your new set up, Rob. It seems very impressive! (y)
But can anyone point me in the right direction for similar exhaust systems, along with fitting service, just for a bit of research. All I can seem to find is Nuova500shop's system, opinions on this?
Thanks.

quite a few manufacturers offering systems now. I have always liked supersprint as properly engineered not just a jigsaw puzzle made in situ like powerflo or longlife. Janspeed also good.

Many of these Powerflow/Longlife systems are actually OK, much of it is down to the skill of the guy making the system.

yep that's the problem nail on the head

i have had nothing but bad experiences (n)
Silly question time, how long should a stainless steel backbox be expected to last? Had one put on the Subaru last year so just wondering how long they last.

I had a stainless system put on my old Alfa 155 in around 2001, it was still fine when I sold it 2 years ago, believe it was scrapped with the car earlier this year (I went stainless after replacing system twice in 5 years and the stainless was same price as Alfa one). That said my dad's old toyota corrolla, bought in 2000 is still on its original exhaust (sister in law now owns it) and my Brothers W reg Honda Civic VTEC had its 1st replacement Exhaust just before Xmas. IF the Japs can make exhaust that last why can't fiat?

Perhaps they recycled the great quality metal in some of their 70's, 80's and early 90's cars for use in exhausts? :ROFLMAO:
