Hi everyone. My 1.2 lounge goes in for its 2nd year service next week. I've noticed that when I pull away from rest in 1st gear that there is a slight noise from (I assume) the clutch as it bites until it is fully engaged. This is only noticable if I have to use a bit of revs for a positive getaway. I emphasise that the clutch noise is only slight and I have to listen for it to notice it. If I'm in stop/start traffic moving forward slowly, and thus using little more than idle revs to get under way, the clutch is silent.

Has anyone else encountered this? I wouldn't be surprised if it's a normal sound, but I'd like to know if it's a potential problem as the car is just under two years old. If so, I need to mention it to the dealer when the car goes in for its service.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that reply. Yes it's most noticable when moving forward up a slight gradient, having reversed off the drive first thing in the morning.

And yes, mine works perfectly normally otherwise.
