Hello good people
i just bought my 1.4L Dynamic Bravo 2 months ago. I had owned an uno and then former Bravo before this. The drive is excellent and FIAT Finally has learnt on past mistakes regarding cabin quality/finish and reliability apart from the outstanding designs they are creating lately. But woud like to ask u ppl 2 things/problems:

1) Regarding the Self-adaptive fog lamps(the option that whenever you steer to the left or the right at speeds below 30km/hr the left or right front fog lamp lights up accordingly), is there an option to switch the function OFF???

2) This occured since i got it from the Fiat delearship: When turning a tight slightly bumpy road TO THE LEFT, a screetching noise from infront of me is heard when the car is bouncing abit. This happens ONLY when turning left. Also when turning the steering wheel on a particular angle to the left, i hear a noise and feel the clutch pedal clicking. Checked under the steerng rack for anything abnormal but all was found ok.

Please help me regarding these issues!!

Thanks!!

A: So far I don't think anyone has discovered how to turn this feature off. I think there should be an option. To some they are a great thing and to others of no use. Depending on driving circumstances/environment you should be able to turn them off I feel. So far no one knows though I believe.

A: Could be possible that your arch liner may be loose or sticking out slightly further than it should. On a previous car of mine I had the same screeching/rubbing and it turn out one of the arch liner pins had broken and the liner was sitting ever so slightly outward. When on full lock (in my case to the right) the tyre would catch and rub on the liner. Easy fix and never happened again. As for the clicking of the clutch. Sorry. No idea. Maybe someone else will be along soon who can help.

Please help me regarding these issues!!

Thanks!!

You can turn them off it's in one of the manuals that was uploaded here a few weeks back, not tried it myself as I like them.

Maybe it does exist?. The manual is dated 06-08...so if it were a software "issue"(not new enough) the cars manufactured after or around august 2008 should have that option others not, unless the ECU was updated recently.

I'm going in for my first year service this month and will ask them about it(also tell them to update the ECU) just in case...the option would be nice and i can't grasp why it hasn't been there from the start!

I got a brand new 1.4 tjet sport last month and the option to turn it off is definately NOT there. This could cause accidents as some morons think you are flashing them out. Fiat need to either

A, update the firmware to allow this to switch off (at the same time update the blue and me so it can read messages from more than just 2 current phones)
B, write to every driver and policeman in the country and tell them our cars are NOT faulty, the fog lights are SUPPOSED to do that.

I hate it! I am fed up being told one of my lights is out

:D

blue&me works with my phone

As for the foggies... they don't switch on and off quickly enough to look like a flash - and the highway code is quite clear - flashing your lights means "I'm here... watch out" the police can pull me over as many times as they like - especially if they start with an attitude as they'll get it back + 10% then get shown up as I reach for the manual.

Had countless people tell me one of my fogs are out :bang:

Never had the pleasure of proving Mr Plod wrong yet though. Fingers crossed it'll be soon :D

in the manual, but not in the car. (n)
maybe that manual is not the final version and that option was removed since it doesn't actually exsist.

Exactly yes, in the manual it is written that the option can be disabled but when finding out, there isn't any option related in the 'mode' button near the steering.

Thanks guys for the helpful info!!

Thanks BRAV-OH, i will check. Hopefully there isn't any mechanical damage in the steering rack but on the other side, the steering is instantly responsive and even great n speeds around 120km/h and no noises are heard.

Thanks!!!
