Yes, they did a Cinq version. It's not something you're likely to find in the Autotrader ;)

You will find it in the milk float serction. It is the version with doors.;)

I drove an electric truck (5700kg) the other day. I don't think after this anyone would be keen on an electric vehicle other than a toy car..

Have you not heard of solar power I think its going to become the in thing with the price of gas and electricity going up..no better time than now to get one fitted to your homes..it will very quickly pay for its self and give the greedy utility companies some thing to think about..Oh I would love to see their yearly profits slump big time..

Just one thing, how many years does it take for a solar panel become a net producer of energy? Last time I did some research on this it took around 80% of the panels service life for it to break even. I know technology has improved somewhat but still I've not heard of any big gains in that area of solar panel production.

If you want to use solar energy effectively use solar gain water heaters. They're cheaper and work effectively in much lower light levels than solar electric panels.

So i take it, the PC you are using is power by the sun light ?

Ming

I would have to aske the energy supplier to answer this.

But what I knowis that it is possible to cater for the energy we need from solar power, wind power and power generated by water force.

I have worked as a sideline in this field and just started to look into this again.

I dont see anything wrong with the Elettra, i mean it has zero emissions, is rear wheel drive (which is always better) and has 123Nm of Torque... the sporting only has 88Nm. Besides is has a range of 56 miles which is easily enough to drive around the city in. It has 4 seats and a boot just like the standard seicento whereas the Honda insight only has two seats because the batterys take up too much space. You dont have to pay tax or expensive repair bills + in my opinion the Seicento becomes just too loud at speeds over 40 mph but there wont be that problem with the elettra. Considering this was built 10 years ago i think it proves that the technology is there for decent electric cars.

They should make a second "who killed the electric car" film and base it around europe featuring cars like the elettra!

Solar power, wind power , do u think that stuff is enough to power the whole of Britain ?????

Not a chance ....

Ming

I would say yes considering britain is an island, off shore wind turbines and water power plants are perfect for this country

123NM of torque cant all be based on the engine or is a misprint, obviously some of it must go to power the whole battery setup, plus it only has a top speed of 100km/h which is about 60mph, you dont need 123nm of torque to get to 60mph

what happens if you forget what range its at and it shudders to a halt? a ballache to get home.

Plus cant take a car that you plug into your mains at home seriously and can imagine the whole setup being as reliable as a citymatic clutch actuator
