yeah if your names Tracy :(

LOL, well seeing as the Swift and Panda 100HP are within a grand of each other new, the Swift feels in a different league and as most folk tick the stupid box and add ESP to the Panda at £400 even when every review says do not its awful makes them almost the same price, I know what I'd go for :)

no wonder you decided to sell the cinq and concentrate on the 'grale when you can go and play with these beasties. I hope to see them next to each other at the pod at some point :)

Yeah they are both great cars and I know Emma would love nothing more to go head to head in one of her cars against the other, especially if it meant beating me :D

I see Aaron has been explaining things i missed out in my absence, he is far more clued up on all this so i'll leave it to him  .

Yeah plan is to keep the both of them, cinq will probably be a track day/ show car as its not the best daily drive in the world!
The sei will be the daily driver as its comfy and with this engine be very economical and nippy with it!

PS Yes i do love the new Swift Sport but its a bit out my price range right now, one day maybe ;)

emma.

where do you find the time/money to do all these things? lol

did the 1.4 lump drop straight in direct fit using the 1.1 mounts?

looks great what im seeing so far :)

gaz

The original mounts are used, with the one on the alternator side modified to clear the alternator belt and pulley, but as it a Fiat FIRE engine all mounting points on the block/gearbox are the same :)

Ok so i've been bugged to get some updates up,

Here is the new rear badge to replace the 'sporting' what do you think?

Should look good that. I take it you considered a 100HP badge from a Panda Sport?

Yeah Emma def considered it, but it was a bit obvious with that car just being out, whereas this badge is in same type face and colour way as the Seicento badge so looks more like a standard item and hints at what is under the bonnet, plus it's got a certain ring to it, Seicento Abarth 100 16V

Aaron/ Emz,

Been looking forward to seeing some headway on this project, really good base car, and an excellent engine make for something special

What kind of power you looking for with the Emerald and other upgrades like manifold ( GSR? ) etc, 115hp?

Jordan

Its standard 95bhp 94lbsft, so with the stainless steel Supersprint manifold and free flowing Rover KV6 CAT and large bore exhaust with a big throttle body to be revealed at later date as under development, but its not off a Fiat, decent induction system and then fully mapped on the Emerald should be good for 115bhp which puts it above the power of a hi-boost turbo but with a near standard engine so as reliable as a new car :D

Right so i've braved the cold to take some new pics of progress so far!

On sunday Aaron and myself went all the way over to wales to pick up these mint condition 15x6 Compomotive Mo's in fiat fitment with an offset of 19.

Also on monday Aaron put H&R 35mm springs on, keeping the standard shocks for now, as the bigger wheels need more clearance room.

We are having a few issues with the rears, so arch rolling will be needed in due course.

A few pics ......

Wow.. what a project!

How are you planning on stopping this wee beastie? On 15's you have the option of anything upto and including Coupe 16VT brakes!

Waiting on delivery of a full set of front and rear callipers from a Marea 155 estate that was getting broken on eBay, got them including delivery for a great price. Fiat models do lots of part sharing so I believe its same callipers as Punto GT as shares the same part numbers on the discs 257mm fronts vented, 240mm solid rears which so happen to be Seicento fronts, again same part number, don't you just love it when Fiat make it easy by part sharing, don't even need to buy discs for back as the fronts were new in the summer :D
