Technical Scuttle Panel

I've just noticed that my scuttle panel isn't fitted correctly It may have been like this since I picked the car up a few weeks ago, or it may be that someone has tampered with it (hope not!).

The drivers side is a tight fit, but the passenger side has popped up and I can't see how to re-fit it properly. Anyone had a similar issue, or had to refit the scuttle panel shed some light on it?

I didn't know I had a scuttle and having had the car for nearly three years, its probably dead by now.

I've always known it as that. It's the plastic trim that runs between the bonnet and the windscreen (below the wipers).

Aaaah, now I get it! I thought it was the plate that you rest your feet on... I have no idea why And, on the similar note, don't they 'scuttle the boat' too? Whatever that means... Too many of those 90's submarine films
