Hi, I understand that if when I order my car, and its a lounge and I want a spoiler it is classed as an accesory. Am I right in assuming I would therefore have to be to have it painted and fitted, or as its at the time the car is ordered it would be inclusive does any one know.

I had assumed it would be inclusive but my potential dealer implies differently, and now I suspect he's right.

I'm now doing my sums to see if its cheaper to put all my options on a sport instead. Everyday I seem to be presented with a new set of things to contemplate on the 500.

Check this thread, it is possible to retro fit a spoiler.

I'd assume the factory option price would be cheapest, painted and fitted during the build, the dealer could do this but would have their own charge for labour/paint etc.

That's what I did in the end, decided that I wanted more Sport options than Lounge ones so chose Sport and added such things as the Skydome, Chrome and split rear seats as options to that.

Actually, I think that Fiat have got it wrong and that there are way more than 500,000 unique choices, I am sure I chose twice as many when trying to configure mine. :)

Being an essex car, did u spec the optional chicken fillets, thong and stillies? :D

if you order it to be fitted at the factory you should only pay the price of the spoiler with no extra's for fitting /painting for instance my A bar was the price on the price list i paid no extra for it being at the dealers a day for fitting. the only way you could be expected to pay extra is if you'r car is already built and the dealer are going to fit it onsite

I had a similar problem when ordering my car, I like elements of the Pop (namelt the seats) ,Lounge (the chrome) & the Sport (spoiler), so the only way to get the seats I wanted was to by a Pop & add to it.

I think once the spoiler is on (tonight hopefully) the 500 will be finished.

This is whaI had expected would be the case.

I am still trying to see what I get in the sport thats different to the lounge. I know about the sport wheels, and no chrome pack & roof, and no split seats. Am I right in thinking that if you option leather then you automaticly get split seats with head rests?

What extras does the Sport have, oh ive just remembered i think the wheel is different too, but is there anything else..

Thanks

Yes, and the seats are based on the Sport so are better shaped. But you do lose the storage compartment under the passenger seat (RHD).

These are not really extras, just differing standard items on the trim specs.

Front fog lights, S/S sill trims, Rear privacy glass.

Thanks

These are some of the differences as you are already aware of the spoiler, std wheels etc.

There might be others based on the engine you choose as well but not sure without going throught the configurator.

Good luck on making your eventual decision. (y)

Ive just realised the sports have no sun visors, are these an option?

ALSO
and im sure this is a reallllly silly question, but are the sport spec cars the only ones to have a sport button.
