General RIP My Grande Punto - Total Wreck Out

As you requested, my burnt / cut / bruised arm.

light from mobile phone camera is crap, but red area is burnt etc.

O, nasty, never seen an airbag burn.

Would you have said it was friction of bag coming out or was it hot?

If hot, any particular part, or thing in general?

:eek:Feck I'm nosey, lol.

Basically my left arm i'd taken off the wheel in pre-cack myself am about to hit her from what I recall, and right arm braced on the steering wheel.

The cuts were from the force of it pushing my arm sideways out of the window, and the burns from the friction / heat (I don't belive the bag was hot as it's just chemical gas inside it).

Luckily my window was down, or i'd have hurt my hand and possibly arm wose.

They'll ring me and let me know the situation by the end of the day.

Some insurance companies will give you a car to use while they sort out the payment to you if your car is written off too, i wud imagine that's in your policy details tho.

Try not to get too stressed about it dude :-(

I looked through the paperwork and I have GAP insurance, so if it is written off least am covered upto 48 months and will wipe the fianance.

Yeah insurance said i'd get a courtesy car. (y)

That'll T-cut out. :)

On a serious note, as long as all concerned are ok then that's the main thing. :)

ive got 1 too! lol get some abuse for it but they'll not be laughing if its needed!

Second that, i've got one also. Although, i purchased mine more for the off chance of getting car-jacked - it looks abit more 'legal' than a proper hammer under the seat (y)

Seriously though, they are handy things to have incase of an emergency. Might not even be your car, there could be a kid stuck in a burning car somewhere on your travels.

If I get my car back, I promise i'll get one.

Am not entirely sure I could of got out if the window wasn't down, because the fusebox was all over the road so nothing eletrical worked.

Had one of those before t-jetfc they are NAFF the bracket is cr@p for a start..

the "proper" life hammer is a much better quality plastic the bracket ensures it will still be in place in a crash and the Original life hammer can be fixed to carpet without using screws...

buy cheap buy twice (y) and when you are dealing with products like that you want it to work first time and not fall to bits in your hand...

Yea good security feature. I neary had to use the one in the Panda when some kid got locked in a Vauxhall Zafira in the car park at my old Garden center with the sun on the car, they smashed a window on that to get in in the end:rolleyes:

Don't go with a cheap imitation

Thats the exact one I've got in the Panda Selecta at the mo:p

The glow in the dark one is miles better than the normal Orange LifeHammer I have in the 750L Panda.

And I'm also covered in other cars aslong as I have my keys. This yellow thing is called resqme and I recomend you all get one (eBay, get one from USA to save money), and they make amazing presents!(y) Again, it's a window smasher and seatbelt cutter. So I'm spoilt for choice when driving one of my own cars:p www.resqme.com

they do look very good things to have in the car, i know what my dad is getting for his birthday next month. but have you ever been searched by the police in possesion of one of those resqume things? i would have thought there could be grounds for going equiped to steal etc just in the same way as if you were travelling around with the life hammer if it was not secured in the vehicle.

I can't believe there is so many people on this forum with them. I'm still laughing hard at the fact you all have them in your car :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Not sure what it is, just hilarious. I've have a right and left foot, either can be used
