Tuning Recommendation and help for ECU tuning software for Grande Punto (1.4)

I would want to add extra power to my Fiat Grande Punto 1.4 ('06) via ECU management. Never done that before, but I would like to learn how to do it myself, and from what I've heard shouldn't be much of a problem (then again, maybe I'm wrong).

Just got USB -> OBDII cable from a friend, and now I search for good car diagnostics (with engine tuning capabilities) for Fiat lineup (which include Grande Punto).

Anybody knows the name of program and where I can download it???
Or is there an allrounder program which can be applyed on Grande Punto???
What else do I need beside the program and cable to tune the engine???
Are there any good guides for the program?

Please, I know it would be best to just go to a tuner and let them do the job, but I would like to do it myself.

you cannot tune that ECU. There is not any comun. protocol for 1.4 95hp GP with ME7.6.3 ECU

Only for 1.4 8v version that has Marelli Ecu! I have tune some and get aprox 6hp and a nice middle torque character!

Try powertune their maps tend to be very good.
