I just posted about finding the drivers mat was a bit mouldy and there was water underneath that has clearly come from somewhere above the pedals presumably and I checked the duckbills as my first point to make sure they were clear and they are clean as a whistle. They are regularly checked and the only thing I am wondering (as an alternative to recent screen replacement ingress) is whether or not torrential rain can cause the problem and overwhelm the drain - especially if vehicle parked on level ground? - nice weather today so no chance of finding out what is going on. Worried about water getting into electrics apart form anything else. Passenger side was dry as a bone though but there is a slight lean to drivers side the way car is parked.

The scuttlewill not be overwhelmed. Look at tge things going through the bulkhead and see if duckbills are directing water away from possible leakage routes. Like clutch master cylinder. Consider leaking screen. Ive had this once. Consider heating matrix leak but I think thats on the left side.

Thanks for reply - It is a thought so yes i will check. I agree it should not overwhelm scuttle if duckbills are clear and not using any water at all plus passenger side dry. Screen most likely but wanted to see what others think about it. You had screen leak issues then by sound of it? - the bottom corner of screen does not look the same as passenger side and the protective strip that fits on glass edge is not secure though I do not think that in itself has any bearing on ingress. Is there a clear way of getting under dash to see the screen corner joint using an edoscope as looking up from pedals seems impossible.

I had the entire base of the screen come unstuck!! DraftyTHe windscreen boys can sometimes help. If you reove the wiper arms the scuttle is easy to remove with a bit of wiggling and you can inspect much better the screen sealing. I had a rear screen leak on my current Panda following a body repair. Fixed with a can of Comma Sean n Seal. Replace arms so blade tips line uo with (normally) crcle marks on the screen.

Thanks for reply - I am not sure if there is any chance of ingress via servo unit but the front panel of servo is rusted through thanks to the stupid duckbill allowing water to pee all over it. Made me think to rule it out before blaming scree. passenger side dry as a bone and was not loads of water either plus little tell tail of water on the rubber lip around below where brake pedal is? - if it IS the servo then guess need to modify the duckbill or put a deflection plate behind it? Interestingly you see s/h servo units on flea bay that look crusty on top plate as was mine (pulled most of the rust off now and shiny underneath) so common issue but not sure about causing ingress or not?
