Technical Rattle from under car

Hi,

i appear to have a rattle coming from left front. Seems to happen when taking foot off acclerator, and also when reversing.

The sound was recorded when i was reversing onto my drive.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, apologies.

0:16 is when the rattle starts.

The sound appears to come from outside the car, but the recording is from inside the car, so its hard to tell.

Can you lift the bonnet and record audio/video as someone revs the car up and down?

put your foot on the exhaust tailpipe and push it backwards and forwards and then from aside to side at least if you hear nothing its unlikely to be the exhaust! unless something has broken and come loose INSIDE IT!

Brief update.

Left the car idle for 5 minutes till warm. Revved it high, it does not make the noise. Letting foot of accelerator again, doesn't make the noise.

When it was in idle I put my foot on the exhaust but there did not appear to be any movement there at all.

It might be the baffles in the centre box breaking down. Ours was rattling at certain revs and the MOT man gave me an advisory for it.

An update on our problem.The spur that is welded on the exhaust pipe towards the back of the car just before the 90 degree bend is sometimes knocking on the underside of floor rail.As there is a missing front exhaust bracket on bell housing at the front, I have fitted a replacement to allow the pipe to flex a little less.Hopefully that will fix it.Thanks for all your suggestions.
