Nail Varish Remover? I know theres a little blob of orange paint but I don't wanna burn the white paint thats under the orange paint, if you know what I mean.
Yup! I dont know if theres anything weaker that you take it off with, only use alittle of it.

Just wondering, have you tried this and proven to work? Only I don't wanna ruin them and need a buy a new center console.
I havent tried this, but some people I know have, I will try & find a thread where someone has done it now.

Hey bill where did u get your blue speedo Needle Pointers from or can i mod them like that ?I brought my smd's from a german company, they included the correct resistors too. It was years ago but if you don't get the right smd's or the right rating of resistor to run them they blow.

done my mk2b was similar but with less LEDs nice and easy mod that is probably my favourite so far.
Heres the mk2b PCB for anybody who needs it
RED = Dials Colour
BLUE = Needle Colour
YELLOW = LCD Colour
For anyone needing soldering help best way is a fine tipped soldering iron with low wattage 25W max
take note of polarity indicator on LED
then bathe one side in solder then the other side
then heat up both sides quickly and old LED will float off
then use some desolder braid or a solder sucker and remove old solder
place new LED with polarity indicator in same place and solder in
hopefully with time and patience you get

yeah had to take them off to dismantle cluster, but they easy enough to mark fuel temp gauge and then put back on may need some realignment but got mine bang on in 15 mins was the rev counter that was tricky kept sticking at 2000 revs then dropping below 0 lol but a few turns sorted them out.

sadly no they are surface mount leds that need desoldered and then new ones soldered its not that hard 2 do fiddly but not terribly hard just need a bit of patience and some tweezers

Oh really wish there wasnt any soldering involved, as my previous car had pop in/out light system!!!
I got completely blue interior with blue door, steering & seat covers, blue foot well LEDs, blue multi media player lights and some blueish extreior too like head and side lights, they look swell, all that's needed is blue dash and demister controls, so I was hoping to change them to make it look a prper mod but it does sound abit complicated since I havent got any soldering experience, but Im willing to give it a go anyway, I'll see what happens. I'll either make it or break it! wish me luck!!
