I took my car in today for 4 new tyres. When I started the car to drive home I get a host of warning messages such as the ABS, EBD, hill hold etc alongside the immobiliser light staying on. You don’t hear the fuel pump prime on turning the key and there is no attempt for the engine to crank.
Tried a new battery, bump start, removing the battery for 10mins, checked fuses and wiring that is visible.
I have read to check the earths which I will try to do tomorrow.
Do any of you good people have any ideas? Thank you for reading.

Hello,

immobiliser light staying on

That's why the car won't even try to crank.

Have you got a spare key?

The clock is blinking showing 6 hours. It means that the battery was shorted / reconnected 6 hours before you've inserted the key in the ignition while recording. What happenned then? Was the car at the workshop at that time?

Thank you, I did try the spare yes and it was no different.
The clock was correct until i disconnected the battery to troubleshoot.

You really need to read the fault codes from the ECU, but sounds like crank sensor maybe. Fuel cut off button checked?

Not sure what the codes were at the time. The tyre garage read them and said it was coming up as a key/immobiliser issue. Would expect the fuel pump to still prime as it does not atm?
Any idea where I can find the fuel cutoff? Is it a physical switch? Thank you.

Ah if you have a code indicating immobilizer issue, it won't be crank sensor, fuel cut off or anything like that. It'll literally be your immobilizer not giving permission to start. The immo pickup ring around the ignition key switch has a long lead that goes down to the interior fusebox, examine it to make sure it's not been damaged.
My car only had one key and was a bit wrecked so I took the plastic key case with the chip epoxyed in and have it permanently taped within the sensor ring tucked up in the dashboard. It took a few attempts to get the positioning right so it is sensitive to how the chip is presented.
Try using one of your keys whilst holding your second at various places around the ignition barrel.

I’ll have a look at that. I did find and try the fuel reset but like you said it’s not that. I do have 2 keys so will try your suggestion.
I did open the column up and clean the barrel as I saw someone on YT who fixed their issue with the immobiliser coil.
Thanks for your advice.
