Fiat Panda 4x4 climbing, prop shaft has 1 center bearing and 1 UJ.
I have removed 6 allen screws from the front of the propshaft, removed the middle cage and undone the two screws holding the middle bearing in place and undone the 6 allan screws holding the prop shaft to the rear diff. I was expecting the prop shaft to then just "fall off" It didnt !!

HOW do I remove the prop shaft ?
Has something else to be undone ?
Thanks ....

Nice link above (y)

I haven't done the Pandas prop

but I have struggled in the past to separate the two halfs of a prop on other cars

if you can anchor one side it fairy easy. But if just put your foot on one side it just slides under your foot.

assuming you haven't got a bench vice

something like a steel cable looped through a towing eye or around a tree should work. I have an eye in a concrete floor the chain my bikes to.

Devices like my drive shaft separator tool might be needed. I cut an ordinary fork type ball joint wedge separator down the middle and welded in a spacer strip. This gives a firm push to both sides of the inner coupling and pops it off the car with one hammer tap.

The same tool was ideal for getting the old front wheel bearing off the splined flange/sleeve.

I have not done a rear drive shaft but this sounds like a similar problem.
