Hi everyone, I've had a couple of days glancing through some of the posts on here, so trying not to ask to many questions that have already been asked before :bang:

Anyway as the title says I am looking at buying a Bravo in the next few months, mainly to lower my running costs. I'm looking at either the 1.9multijet Sport, or the 2.0 165 Sport. Is 1 any better than the other, or are they pretty much like for like?

I know some Bravo's came with a 5year warranty, Was this just a short term deal, and if so, does anyone know what plate these will be on?

I think that sums up the annoying noob questions for now :)

Oh and before anyone says swapping to a diesel for cheaper motoring is a bit of a false economy, well yes I agree in some cases it is. But I'll be swaping my Impreza Turbo for a Diesel, so the MPG will at least be twice as good! In fact could I get a Bravo down to 6mpg? lol

i have the 1.9 150bhp version.. great motor.

2.0 is a little smoother and shaves about 1 secs of the 0-60 time, emissions are less on the 165 but have a DPF system that i wouldnt trust.
Both engines are great but the 1.9 is a older unit used in many other cars today - so its proven.

You wouldnt and hope a new bravo petrol or diesel will do 6mpg. Around town with a heavy foot - always on boost expect 22-25mpg.
On a long civilised run 55-60mpg. mixed i get around 35mpg.

The 5 year warranty was on for a while, not exactly sure when, mines a july 2008 and it has 3 years.

Hope this helped you a little

Hi mate

I've owned my Bravo for little over 2 weeks now and I love it

I have the 1.9 active sport 120...from what i can make it out, they don't make that engine any more since end of 2008 as it was replaced by something else, but its really good..im getting about 40mpg mixed at the moment (runs to barnsley to leeds, barnsley to rotherham)

5 year warranty from what i can make out was a promotion..fiat standard warranty is 3 years i think.

Replaced with the 1.6 120 which I have.

Fiats warrenty is 2 year manufacturer and 1 year dealer.

Mines only the petrol1.4 (90) but Im very pleased so far after 7k. use. Im used to the comparatively low performance because I had a 1.2 stilo (!)before and its not a problem for me. I got 51mpg last week on motorway journeys. Typically 45-48 average motoring.

5 year warranty would be on the 57 and 08 perhaps. I think that's around the time they offered it.

Mines an 07 (yeah she's getting on a bit!) and still having tonnes of fun. I'm sure you'll miss the noise of the Scoob but for getting around they're a very good car, quick for it's class, and probably still best looking.
