Hi All
New to the Forum, I have a low mileage 17k Passadoble (sp) red Panda 100HP
Very happy with this great little motor car. I sold my classic Mini as it felt just too fragile to cane and bought the Panda based on the reviews. I also like most things Italian and it's great to be flying the tricolore again.
One of the first things I did was to have the steering wheel recovered in Dark Grey Alcantara. It makes the car feel way better and dare I say it: More expensive. Had it done by Royal Steering Wheels. It's probably the best mod I have ever had done to a car. Anyway wanted to share this with other owners as it's made a heap of difference.

Hi there Chilla. I bought my black 100 HP last September as my Mini Cooper S Sport 5 (1996 ex demo from Cooper Garages) was getting a bit fragile too as a daily driver.
I love the Panda....closest to the Mini I could find in a modern(ish) car.

looks good, i like that.

how much was it?

Thanks
it is top notch work by RSW beautifully finished. (I saw an advert in EVO)
it was £155.00 all in.
They source another steering wheel and then when it was ready I drove up from London and it was fitted in about an hour. It it can be a bit cheaper if you send your own wheel, with some obvious drawbacks while you wait for it.

Total agreement, I got mine a Seven from a museum in Wilts with 40 miles on it and used it a bit but eventually at 986 miles I just couldn't do it! I squeezed a trip to the Pyrenees and a couple of track days in that too. Lavished too much on the engine and had 90bhp at the wheels. ahhh

The Panda is actually everything the Mini wasn't anymore if that makes sense. great brakes, killer engine and sticky as, oh and five doors. I've had mine about 5 months now and am really enjoying it.

Hi There Chilla

Interesting you bought a Panda to replace a classic mini. I have a classic mini too which has the normal rot problems at 26 years old and 160,000 miles, and it will need to be rebuilt at a cost of ££££ or replaced sometime. But my choice of another car was a Panda active which is nice and simple and practical and fun to drive and great in towns. Several of my friends have said the rear end reminds them of the classic mini too. But I love the "honesty" and charm of the Panda, so she is a "keeper" whatever happens on the mini front!
