Hi all, my first post and of course it's a question post.

Just got this Fiat Ducato Maxi 2007 2.3 120hp Multijet in Campervan format, and I am getting it ready.

However I found two cables in the engine bay on the left side, near the expansion vessel, the yellow one is quite long, I have no idea where they go, or what they are supposed to be connected too, i do have an engine code error of P0638 which I gather is a common code for a faulty throttle body, so it probably needs changing, I was just thinking is the yellow cable anyrhing that may cause this issue?

Has anyone got an idea please?

Thanks in advance
Ady

Hi Ady,
Welcome to the forum. I cannot help directly with your problem, as I do not have the data for your x250 model. Others may be able to help, but if they have to search for the info, it would be very time consumong. The makers often install standard wiring to include non fitted options.

As well as the colour of the connectors, you also need to show the pin arrangement, and wire colours. Armed with similar info, I was able to positively identify a loose lead in my 2.8jtd engine bay. The wire colours confirmed that it was for a not fitted oil level sensor.

To identify the wire I used Fiat eLearn from on a CD. If you have access to a Windows computer, and an optical drive, then this link to eBay may be of interest.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
The yellow wire has only two wires, one red with a white or purple stripe,, its difficult to tell, the other wire is black.
Sadly I cannot see the other ones on the photo, so will take a look when I next got to the van.
Thanks
Ady
