Hi All
Discovering more shoddy workmanship from previous owner or workshop. On checking the engine bay I discovered the O2 sensor still attached to the wiring harness hanging loose in the engine bay. I can only assume it’s port has been blanked off. The vehicle is running with a slight hunting at idle, puzzling is there is no engine check light.

Anyone got any feedback, I’ll try and find the port on the exhaust manifold later today, and see what is there. If it has been blanked off how would this affect the running of the engine and does no engine check light mean the ecu system has somehow been fooled?

Thanks
Wayne

I have seen a video where a sensor was cut out and blanked off on a dpf and a new hole drilled and nut welded on to mount a new sensor in. Your case they have done half a job blanking old sensor and just fitted a sensor to electrical connections, basicaly as a cold engine, there may be some tampering with the map i dont know.

Hi There

I'll keep digging and see what I can find. I'll post my findings.
