It has now been confirmed the Panda turbo has set a new record at the track yesterday. The best 1/4mile time of 13.642sec while being driven by a friend of mine(i was working yesterday
). This was the first time the car was used with slicks that obviously aided traction. The only car capable of beating it this morning was a Supra TT 6spd with a 12.7sec 1/4mile. I have been told otherwise but i believe my friend raised the boost to 10psi to get these times since the compression is decreasing on cylinder 2 and 4 which would indicate signs of overboosting. So according to 1/4mile times at the track the Panda should be able to race an M3(13.679sec) without any embarassment at all, it could actually embaress the M3 owner to say the least . I´m now happy with this project and once i get the punto 6spd installed and a new paint job it will be retired to shows only and not raced anymore(if i can resist the temptation ). The car actually looks like a stock panda other then the low rumble coming from the custom twin outlet 2.5" exhaust(from the manifold back).
