How many miles and has the clutch and dmf ever been replaced? That second gear noise is familiar to me, disappearing at higher speeds

I resisted posting to this thread since the symptoms were described as "rear end" to me this does sound DMF related based on actual experience. Mine is a TA and is two DMF's into it's lifetime!

Only one here - that I know about. (At c115k miles)

I believe the diesels *do* have a DMF. Very rare to find a diesel without one (in general, not just Pandas)

How things move on. My TA is definitely the only car I have ever had with a DMF and only the second with balancer shafts. All too much to go wrong.
