Hello,

Looks really smart, good work. Just wondering, did the SPAX springs cause the rear to sit on the bump stops? Or did the springs come with new ones?

With the Spax springs the car sits very close to the bump stops but there is a gap so they don't sit on them and thats with the standard bump stops. Spax do not supply new ones.

Despite the lowered ride height the ride quaility is very similar.

Well they sound good. Its a shame they were dropped from the pack as I would like them on my car.

You could have it done.. i had these on my pandamonium kitted car originally, i decided to have them powercoated white instead after about 45k, the problem with the pandamonium wheels is that its a black basecoat, so chips to the wheel show through the silver black.

However, me being a loser i have a fifth wheel in the garage, after kerbing one of my wheels after a few months of having the car i was so annoyed with myself that i bought a brand new wheel instead of having a small refurb done!! Anyway i kept that spare wheel so if i ever wanted to go back to the original spec i know exactly what colour it should be, i also have a new set of the silver decals that go down the sides for the same reason Anyway the reason i mention this is that if anyone fancies getting their wheels refurbed to the pandamonium colour i'd happily take pics of my spare if its of help, you can see exactly how fiat did it because the lazy gits didn't bother to paint behind the wheel much with the silver paint so its just the black basecoat!

Love the car by the way SXI, some small but very effective touches.

Since my 'Readers Ride' thread has been closed and I don't use any other part of the forum apart from this section I thought I would post up some pictures of my 100HP along with the specification.

I have owned the car for nearly three years and in that time I have changed a few bits here and there to adapt the cars looks to my taste.

I am not a fan of modified cars so I have went doen the 'OEM+' route to keep that car looking factory standard but a little more individual!

Overall I am really pleased with all the subtle changes I have made to the car and I personally think they all add up to improve the overall appearance.

I think for the time being Project Panda is complete as any other changes that I would like to make would cost more money than I am willing to spend.

So for now I am going to enjoy the car for what it is..........an Awesome Angry Panda!

I know this is really a very old thread! But 0-40 oil???

Never had an issues with 0W-40 Oil throughout ownership of the car.

What made you choose to use it though, rather than the recommended 10w40?

I asked a lot of questions to find out what oil grade to use. Some said to keep to the 10-40 and others use a 5-40. I always try (Where possible) to use a thinner (0w/5w) cold grade to get the oil up to the cams as quick as possible.

If a 0-40 works. Then happy days

The 40 value makes sure the oil is not too thin at running temperature. If the 0 gets oil around the engine that bit faster then great. However it might not be ideal during a cold winter as thicker oils take more effort to pump especially when really cold.

The power ratings are done with at least 97 octane petrol so running posh petrol means the car is making it's rated power. You probably improve it with a sports manifold and sports catalyst.
