What boost you running?
What power is it making?

It must be a totally different car

It's boosting to 0.5 bar atm and gets out of hand in first and second gear at 3500rpm and that's with 17inch rims in dry weather

What turbo? Generally the small turbos will boost up very quickly -- often creating a boost spike -- and fall off well before the red line.

An electronic boost controller should give you a little more control over what happens and when, but selecting the right turbo is the real art.

Yep. Wheelspin, early boost city.

GT17 is said to be better. But folk get away with 14" 6J wheels (or go to 15") and quality rubber -- Rainsports are probably the cheapest. 195/45/14.

Still, needs EBC.

Its the GT1752 the bigger one that has been used.. Craig and Jason both used one, Craigs is on a 16v so not really comparable power wise but Jason cinq made close to 170bhp - its a 1242 8v with mpi and water/meth injection, uses a PGT intercooler and i believe 2" boost pipes. That was just with an mf2 and not huge boost so could probably get more than that but i'm not sure how much more the stock internals could take tbh.

The lad who bought my seiT is getting the GT1544 hybrid'd but not sure to what spec, just bigger compressor side i believe.

Found a new 1 and put it in. I think i might have used the wrong oil feed from the filter housing(i used the top 1)

Trying something a little different from everybody else to drop compresion. Ive domed the head should give me a C/R of 8.1 if my calcs are right
