My grandfather bought a multipla 1.9 JTD 2002 around a year ago, mileage is around 160,000

anyways due to mileage etc he wanted a fair amount of stuff done to it to make it somewhat more reliable as he had next to no service history of belts etc.

anyways long story short the following was fitted around a year ago

Timing belt kit + water-pump + thermostat and all aux belts,

vehicle has been running fine for around 1-2k miles and all of a sudden was turned off after a long run and refused to start again, the only fault code that keeps appearing is p1320, im assuming that this code relates back to the sync of the cam/crank sensors.. in which case possibly a crank sensor as they are quite common for failing?

anyone else had any experience with this fault code that may want to shed some light?

thanks

Could well be the crank sensor. Did the car start OK once the engine had cooled down?

Search the forum for P1320 - the various model sections are littered with reports of that code.

Crank sensor is easy to change. Camshaft sensor not so easy.
