still has a very slight hesitation on acceleration, could the timing be very slightly out ?

looks nice. If id have known it was just the valve seals I would have kept it.

It could be timing. Are you accelerating smoothly all the way to the top or just pushing the pedal to the floor at points?

The drivers mirror base does not look quite suare on the door in that picture. I might have put it back on in a rush.

its a bit of both, it hesitates when foot straight down, a little less when smoothly.

i was thinking of putting new spark plugs in (the other ones didnt look to clever) maby HT leads, and possibly a new fuel + air filter.

Put new brake pads on today, and that completed the old MOT fail sheet, its booked in tomorrow at 2pm, so hopefully it should pass.

going to give it a good scrub and pollish before MOT

had a bit more of a mess with the car, fitted my polly lights



also fitted my CD changer



got to go out early in morning as one of my tyres has a puncture, get that done then MOT at 2pm

Good luck with the MOT.
That reminds me the airfilter is an old mucky one from my 1.8 I took the K&N and put it in the 1.8 probably best to change it and id definatly change the old oily spark plugs.

Looks great with the HGT 15" 5-spokes on it.. better that 500 Sport alloys I reckon.

Yes i am Quiet partial to the HGT alloys, not a big fan of the after market 100 spoke kind of alloys. The need Recondishining as they are a little curbed.

I may spray the drums and the Calipers a nice Red colour to match the engine. what do you lot think ?

also i have a side strip for the passenger door, just need to clean it and find somthing to bond it on

hey sorry no updates in a while, ive been working on my cinq while its off the road, had exhaust and bumpers and reverse gear to sort on it. i have put new NGK spark plugs and BOSCH HT leads on the bravo, but still not cured hesitation, ive narrowed the problem down to lambda sensor, it is running a little rich, im guessing from all that burnt oil in the past that it has nackered the sensor so im going to have to purchase a new one. i found this one:

I didnt no that they were that expensive, most fiat parts i have bought have normally been really cheap. Anyway hopefully if i change that it should help.

after typing all that last night i really booted the car down the motorway as i was going to my sisters and the hesitating has stopped, how strange
