OK - I'm new to the forum - I hope you can help me - I have searched but can't find a direct answer so here goes.
My Missus and I have a mk2 1.2 16v HLX (2000 W reg) - but there are a few discrepencies!
I understand that the HLX was the top of the 1.2 range and had various standard items such as ABS. Our Punto does not seem to have this. I found a document in the owners pack which suggests the car was originally shipped to Cork in Ireland (although the first owner was England based) - and it is described as a 1.2 16v BASE with a number of option codes. Could it be it is not an HLX - maybe it's a base with various options? It has PAS and City, E/Front windows, E/Sunroof - electric mirrors, driver airbag, 5headrests, full dash, trip computer, met paint etc. I have a docket in Italian - which lists option codes - does anyone have a reference doc as to what the various codes are?
For the keys - I've read many notes on Red keys. We have remote locking but only 2 blue keys - and a code card. The owners manual makes no mention of red keys at all - so I assume we have everything we need. Perhaps one of the blue keys is the Red equivalant? Did all cars come with a red key??
