Hi
Driving a 188 series punto 1.2 16v.
Will get random error codes, from cluster to stering alternator, well almost everything. Clear all, switch off, back on, no errors, repeat then other errors pop up and so on, except for the errors, and what ever is causing it, the car run 110% until what ever is not how it should be, car will error up die at idle, go in limb mode and all sort of idd things, similar to unpluging the plug at the throttle body and trying to drive.
Checked spark, spark plugs, map sensor, injectors, air box, breather pipes, fuse box, plugs under fuse box.

Any ideas?

Main ground. Then other main wires and connectors.
Battery.
Alternator.
Last thing - ECU failure (or other module spoiling CAN communication).
So did a few test and so on again, final error code points to throttle body or pedal sensor, found pin out for throttle body, but dont know what the resitance should be, any ideas, seems to range from 1.6kohm to 0.5kohm, and signal pin 2 0.8kohm to 1.7kohm

You could always get a portable 2 channel multimeter-oscilloscope (borrow it or buy it, it's about 150 $, or find someone who has one and does the checks for you) and measure the pins of the OBD connector.

Try
16 against 4 (there should be steady 12 V)
4 against 5 (there should not be any spices or noise)
and Can High, Can Low

Key OBD-II Pinouts

  1. Pin 16: +12V power from the vehicle's battery.
  2. Pins 4 and 5: Ground connections (chassis and signal ground).
  3. CAN High (Pin 6) and CAN Low (Pin 14): For CAN bus communication.
