Opinions on this trolley jack?

Yes our garden has grown like wildfire this summer, all the rain sent the greenery up by yards. I do like gardening, but the tidiness doesn't last.

I had to give up coffee, i always had it super strong and to mask that I had 3 or 4 sugars and the dental visits were getting a bit much. The caffeine certainily woke me up though! lol
Nothing like a strong sweet hot cup of coffee to seek out the sensitive teeth in your mouth I find.

I went out in the rain to do some, not so nice.

And then the new gearbox to subframe bolt wouldn't tighten up. Either i've mixed up one of the bolts, and put it on the control arm, or else the new mount is faulty. I marked and numbered the bolts, but some of the markings got rubbed off. I'll possibly steal a bolt off my spare car, or send the new mount back. My major concern with this job is the DIY sway bar bracket repair. I hope that holds...

About half of them are still real, just enough to stop me looking "gummy":p
I am surprised I still have most of mine, I have just eaten my favourite sweet dish, a large bowl of strawberry ice cream covered in golden syrup, maple syrup and a large spoon of clotted cream. The ice cream tends to solidify the syrup and clotted cream, mmmm:)

Hold that thought. We're all on our way for Sunday tea.

Oh just shut up will you :ROFLMAO: (y)

The wheels are back on and everything in the front suspension is tightened up. The rod ends had 13 and 15 threads of turn beforehand so I equalised them at 14 each. I'm not going to align this myself anytime soon if ever, for the reasons given above.

The engine-gearbox mount is faulty and is off the car and going back. It just won't lock in place, i'll get the next one from GSF and i'm sure it'll be OK.

The exhaust isn't on, nor the steering column pinch bolt connected.

I've left the car up on stands, i'm going away for a few days and didn't want to bring it down today and have some issue that i'd be thinking about while away... :)

I'm going to watch a game in The Hundred (cricket) in Birmingham and go to some music shops and the Black Country Living Museum (Victorian life). Should be interesting.

Hope the weather stays nice for you and that you have a nice time.

Well I won't be buying the new engine-gearbox mount from GSF. They want £50 for it, the last one off ebay was £20, unbranded. I must get a branded one somewhere though.

EDIT. found one on Amazon for £26 with next day delivery. Its a Febi Bilstein, so should be fine.

This guitar is the same cost as the car I'm working on. It's second hand too.

I play guitar like a chimpanzee, so I know which I prefer.

Was the car cheap or is the guitar expensive?
:)

I took the pinch bolt out of my Panda, it was a pain to get it back in! In the end I had nearly given up and it fell back on as easy as you like. It may only go back in one position. Don't force anything just gently persist and it will go back. Move the steering wheel slightly side to side a few degrees to realign the splines, but again dont overdo it. I now make certain the wheels are straight before starting then when you put the steering wheel straight you know its on right. Check where the wheels are pointing and adjust steeering wheel to match. You may need to move the joint up the column to align the bolt ithe the slot in the column. Try a small screww driver in teh hole to help align things.
Everything is now back on - except the steering column pinch bolt.

I've tried jiggling it a few degrees this way and that, but nothing is working. I'm not going to try to force it with any tools and will try to get it to drop in, but i'm not hopeful.

Ideas anyone?
