Guys - I should know better. As some may know from my posts my twinair has not been without mysteries and issues to overcome such as Turbo, Clutch and various sensors so I keep it well (over) serviced and we get along... Being bored recently I prepped for an oil change (air filter + actuator valve and plugs clean/inspect) on a Sunday 4 weeks back by ramping up and removing tray, changing filter etc and as no stores open here on Sunday it was Monday before I got to Auto store for the oil and neither store (limited options) had 0-30 which I have used since the advisory some years back but the store pointed out that they still show 5-40 for the Twinair and sold me (reluctantly but I had to move the car) a good quality product. 2 days later and I had a 3K limiter cutting in (Limp) as soon as warm - no CEL or codes and with a new service under my belt I am back to thinking about sensors et al over the next days of the same behaviour. Surely not the oil... Yes I changed the oil for a 0-30 two weeks ago now and the issue disappeared immediately and has not returned. As Twinair owners oil quality, weight and change intervals are drummed into us but this brought it home to me..
