Hello was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem before.

If the car sits for more than a day, when started it says oil pressure insufficient then goes off. But engine sounds tappy for a second then sounds sweet. If car is used regular it doesn't do it.

Was serviced less than 2k miles ago myself using blueprint filters and good oil.

Before anyone says oil level is perfect 😂

My 20121 1.2 does this!- though my car is to old for the warning message it is literately a second or so of noise then back to normal- I notice that its worse and lasts a little longer when i put the 54/w30 oil in for winter rather than the 10/w40 i use in summer! as the car has 90k on her my assumption is that slight wear to the oil pump allows the phenomenon of slight "wet sumping" where oil drains back down past the pump internals due to the extra clearance cause by wear in the internal parts, this happens a fair bit on some of my old motorbikes as well! once the engine is started and the pump sucks its first lug of oil the pressure returns to normal and the noise goes away instantly!.
The extra noise is generated by the fact there is no oil film between the lifters and push-rods( a couple of thou or so!0 which is swiftly replenished!, i always use Bosch oil filters as they are a know quality and have had no issues!.

Id say that as long as the noise goes in a couple of seconds then there is no need to worry and would expect that if the pump was worn enough to become a problem then you would notice other indicators such as the oil pressure light flickering at idle.

I wasn't too worried about it as like you said it stops. Sounds like a corsa for about 5 seconds 😂 but if I use car every day it doesn't do it at all

Our 09 100k car starts instantly with no warnings can't remember it's either a genuine filter or a Bosch note the genuine one has a "flat" sealing ring, 5w40 oil and used on and off, so days between starts
