Technical Oil filter dimensions

Hi guys, i have recently changed my oil filter and i noticed when i changed it that the one i took off and the one i replaced it with are different dimension. Now ive been having problems with the oil pressure light when hot, now am wondering if the two are linked. I bought it from Euro car parts

Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, I'd suggest you stop driving, as I suspect you've lost some oil as well. I hope you still have the old filter around, so you can cross reference the parts number on it, and buy a new, correct filter to fit.
The new filter likely have a different diameter seal, and thus doesn't seat in tight.

Fiat spec 2 oil filters for the Punto. 1 is small in diameter but long 62 (oil seal dia) 76 (outer dia) x100mm, the other 2 is short and fat.
99% turn out to be the small and long, anything else causes problems.

Swapped the oil filter today, oil pressure sensor and rocker gasket. Will report back tomorrow
