Technical Oil and filter costs:twinair

After seeing the wildly different costs in the 1.2 timing belt thread.. 😉

What are people paying for the 875cc Twinair servicing?

I haven't had a garage service in years

Buying my own oil and filter is cheap enough..

But I've bought a low miles FSH Twinair,

And would like 1 "official" service as a yards stick for performance 🙂

My mpg always improved after other Official services 🤔 (different car..)

I will add quotes as I get them,

Your experiences are Very Welcome 👍

Last service on my Panda TA was a major service including the brake fluid.
Fiat Main dealer charged £188.0+VAT but I supplied all the parts and Oil from S4P.

Costly but its still only done £25K and I want the service record complete. I suppose this is about 1 hours work!!

Thanks Panda Nut 🙂

I am not sure a random garage would be happy with me supplying parts,
No longterm service relationships left around here..

I rang a local Indy, (that advertises the Napa oil supplied with my Mito TA)
They wouldn't quote on Oil and Filter..

But offered a "Silver level Service" for £200,
I retorted that surely Oil and Filter would be Bronze..?

Apparently not, but they "Do have a look around it" for the extra money

I am looking elsewhere.. 😉

Parts would be @£80 I suspect,
3 litre bottles of Selenia to be opened and an Oil Filter element 🤔

(DIY it's been nearer £40)

My oil was from S4P at c£10.5 a litre. Filter was about £8 from the same. With a TA use genuine Fiat filter!!!.. S4P plugs are c£30 Fiat ones too. Dealer its £35 each. www.Shop4Parts.com

But it's finding somewhere with proper experience that I need
That's the key, but you know that already!

Maybe one of the known trusted garages, even if it's a fair distance away; consider booking it in for a Friday/Monday and make a weekend break of it?

SCS perhaps? The New Forest is always interesting, and there's the Winchester Christmas Market and the Bournemouth Xmas tree display.
