General North Yorkshire Moors and Coast Panda Camp 4x4 - June 2016

Lythe near Whitby.

Camp on Lythe camping, caravan and pods,
http://www.lythecc.co.uk/
B&B at http://www.stiddy.net/

I will approach the campsite tomorrow, as I need to put the numbers together if they are the final ones.

Cool, looks like the Camping Pods are sold out for that weekend, not checked with B&B yet as their website doesnt work, once the weekend has been confirmed ill look into it further.

Rooms (b&b) at The Stiddy are gone, their are checking the pods now, camsite is not an issue.
I'm looking around but it is hard to find one site which does b&b, pods, caravans, tents, dogs, cars, and food/pub near by.

Right guys, suggested location has changed to more appropriate one.

Camping will take place few miles North along the cost.

Runswick Bay Caravan and Camping Park.
http://runswickbaycaravanandcampingpark.co.uk/

There is much more B&B or guest houses in Runswick Bay and withing walking distance in Hinderwell. At least two places serving delicious food.
Accomodation can be found here
http://www.booking.com/searchresult...track_sas=1&lang=en-gb&cdl=pl&nflt=&tfl_cwh=1

Or few miles North in Staithes
http://www.staithesaccommodation.co.uk/

I will get in touch with the Runswick BAay camp site first thing in the morning to confirm camp space availability, it will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Hi Jacob

Thanks for the heads up for this, unfortunately I will be on the south coast with my tent up that weekend in June, you will see my Panda at some point this year though I promise!

Cheers, hope you all have a good time

Michael

Just had reply back for Colin Bell @ North Yorkshire Off Road Centre located at Robin Hood Bay, unfortunately we can not used their site for short ( max 1h) play with that magnificient scenery in the back ground unless we can provide them with proof of MSA competition approved insurance policy. I'm still waiting for MD of Dawnay Estate to reply to my enquiry regards permision for vehicular access for our group to one of their shooting site/dale. Fingers crossed!!!

Ok, now dates are confirmed I'll stick in my holiday forms for work.
I'll probably just commute back home on the evenings though a night in the tent may work if the weathers ok, we'll see!
I'm hoping Henry will be re-engineered for this but if not I have a cunning back up planned!

Few more lanes been double checked allong the cost and Moors.

I've been trapped in really narrow lane which for some odd reason ( still legal to drive) isn't popular within big 4x4's. I'm speachless about the 4x4 capabilities of this little panda, it did actually managed to U-turn in this place as continuing the drive was more dangerous than turning back, Reversing was not an option as well...

As the front wheels sticks out more by 18mm, I think I need front mud flaps as it easily gets dirty.

Another coast lane, in this case this was the last safe point to stop and do 'on foot' reccy as the lane was leading down towards the Beck and further in to impassable huge V-shape canyon/ small valley - all thanks to running water and Trial riders.

This one is aproved

Local Sisley, not on Forum - been seen first few years back - when the doors bottom were still fine, I think I will leave a note soon: ' in case if you want to scrap the car please let me know...'

In this photo the front reg plate was gone already, but I did found out after driving 40miles to local jet wash.

Err, just wondering. Is this exclusively for 4x4s? Or can 2 wheel drive owners who think they can drive join in? Not that I will be wanting to drive over boulders or up the side of Yorkshire mountains like.........
