Help!
My Panda wont start i know the fuel pump is working but there is no power getting to it. I have checked all the fuses all fine, so i think it may be a relay
Does anyone know which one is the relay for the injection pump?

You might find it on top of one of the front suspension pillars..

If the relay is not faulty, consider that it may be inhibited from running by:
inertia switch trip (if you have one)
ECU deciding there is a problem, and not firing up the pump.

In the normal scheme of things, on switching the ignition "on", I would expect the fuel pump to run briefly and then stop - until the engine fires.

Take care.

P.S. there will be an inhibit connected to the gear lever - to stop you starting it in gear :):)
Wiggle the gear lever about to make sure you are in "park", or whatever it's called on a Panda.

Cheers m8.
The car turns over but there is no action from the pump at all there is something mounted on top of the front strut will have to have a look at them

The fact yours will crank though suggests the "I'm in drive so you're not starting" inhibit is not the problem.

Some other things:
in the diagram for the early (Bosch) system there is a 10 amp fuse in the feed to the fuel pump. It looks to be an "in-line" fuse which maybe under the bonnet, possibly righthand side, brown/white wires on both sides.

The early system had two relays - one shown as "fuel system" the other as "fuel pump and lambda(heater)".
Those relays are in addition to the "in gear" inhibit.

I understand the later (Marelli) system only used one relay but my book only goes upto 1993, and doesn't detail it.

What year/vin number is your Panda??

Hmm,

manufactured 7 - 1994
1108 SPI

and my "Haynes" doesn't go that far, which is a shame.

Have a look see if there is an inertia switch under the front passenger seat (It may not be new enough for that, but you never know).

Beyond that I can't help much - anyone out there with a newer book??

You where right m8.
It was the inerta switch.
Found it in the passenger footwell just pressed the top and bingo car now starts:D.

Was looking at the one on my sporting Cinq the other day and thinking what it was.:I
