Hello,
I've got a multijet 150 sport. In the last week i've atarted to notice the car has less and less power at low revs. Once the revs build up to 2000rpm it seems ok. Struggled to get off my drive this morning! Dealer thinks its a fuel valve or an air filter problem so both parts have been ordered. Anyone with any experience of this?
Cheers

Strangely enough there is another Thread on here, same car type and engine, same symptoms.

My car was bought from new in october '07. its a 150 m jet. I do mainly m'way drving. Coming up on 20k miles now. Performance just disappeared over a few days. Dealer has ordered new valve. Hopefully will arrive soon, its gettin worse!I still love the car tho.

oh and p.s. i usually cruise at 80/5 mph on m'ways. Im not heavy through the gears particuarly tho. Rare i rev beyond 3000rpm, unless burning a 'cock' in an Audi A4 off the line!

Yeh apparently so. Dealer said it was a common fault of the part and that the new part had been uprated. So fingers crossed it wont go again. It goes in tomorrow for the part to be fitted. In and out in under an hour they assure me!

Yeh, car was fixed today. New EGR valve fitted. Only took them an hour to fix. All covered on warranty and car was given a full free check up while it was in. Working perfectly again now so back in the fast lane for me and my Bravo again!

Full free check up was to check for a re-map maybe? :p

ha, thats true, luckily iv not done anything like that! Mechanic seemed impressed id fitted xenon headlights tho!!:)

I was only kidding, theres no real reason the dealer would be interested as if they found a re-map they might lose the work.

Glad you're sorted!

Mine was checked after work carried out and egr fitted, was not reset and remap not mentioned by dealer, confirmed when returned to reddot who increased pump for additional torque but nothing else needed

What power has yor remap given your Bravo? Im considering a remap myself. Do they cause any probs at all?

202bhp, no problems other than clutch/drive shaft:D I don't think the 2 are related as others have had remaps and seem to be having no problems. The clutch was OK but they misdiagnosed fault and when replacing clutch found it was actually the driveshaft (half shaft?) that had failed. The only way the remap would have caused this would have been if I had been carrying out traffic light burnouts and as I don't it isn't!

That is really usefull - i have the same problem (but also noticed that the car runs less smoothly before i started to lose significant power), car is about the same age but only around 10k miles.Took it in today and asked them to have a look the service guy said no problems but the girl on reception did mention the EGR valve! my guess is that a recall should be issued! i was almost run over by a lorry as i tried to accelerate whilst joining the motorway very scary!
