Hello all

Another newbie for the forum, going to look at a new Bravo on Monday, as my wife has finally loosened the purse strings, and going to let me buy a new car.

Looking at a 1.4 T-jet 150 dynamique in silver, dealer has them on offer at £11,500 brand new (y)

Any way i've been looking through most of your posts and there doesn't seem to be many common faults just a few niggles, but a little concerned with number of clutches and fly wheels failing early on, is this a common issue and has it been resolved by fiat?

on another note do 19's fit? seems to be a little controversy over wheels sizes and steering racks and different opinions, not sure what to believe, does it makea difference as mine will be LHD? (also means i get a footrest next to the clutch :p)

And one final question, are you guys happy with your purchase?

Any way enough of my questions today, will probably bombard you all with more over the next few days as i make my mind up.

Looking at a 1.4 T-jet 150 dynamique...
It's Dynamic. It's not a bloody Renault!

(Sorry, it's a bit of a pet hate of mine, no offence intended, and I always feel much calmer after I get it off my chest! :p )

I've had two T-Jet 150s now (granted, both in Sport trim) and loved both of them. I don't think I've ever seen a Dynamic with the same engine, as most people that buy them tend to go for the 120 or a MultiJet.

I'm not sure whether 19" alloys will fit or not, but having had 18" on both of mine I can say that they are more than big enough to look fantastic and don't ruin the ride.

As for common faults, I've not seen any in the 18 months I've been with FIAT, so I guess they're not that common...

Thanks for the reply, funnily enough i was also looking at the Megane  but with euro rate as it is prices here have rocketed (n).

Thats what attracted me to the fiat, apparently the dealer has had them in stock for a little while and wants rid. For example the same spec with just the 1.4 90bhp is £12 grand:confused:

Good news nothing to much to worry about.

hiya, i have a bravo 120T sport and my flywheel and clutch went but i just took it back and they fixed it no probs, and no probs since with it so i wouldnt worry about that mate

I have a 150 Tjet Dynamic and love it, although I wouldn't buy new. You might have to wait a month to find the exact car you want, but it'll save you thousands. I found mine very easily at a local dealership. It cost £7500, came with a bunch of extras, was in a nice color, brilliant condition and only done 11k.

Also how can you tell if the clutch/flywheel has gone? My clutch feels like it's catching or grinding when I lift it up slowly when in neutral, first or second?

i'm in Gibraltar, the second hand car market here is mental, take a 1995 civic 1.4, goes for £3-4 grand, and to import from uk incurs 25-35% import tax, and from spain the same plus the crap exchange rate to the euro. So with no VAT best deal is to buy new, and from old stock as explained above.

Not to alls liking I know. They are currently off the car as I have just had them refurbished in a light metallic flake bronze colour.

Thanks, not sure if to my taste maybe new colour will look better, but have to say size wise doesn't look overwheeled. Looking forward to my test drive delayed till monday.

Just had my test drive :) and paid my deposit.

1.4T-jet Dynamic in silver, should pick it up by the end of the week (y)

My first new car :D
