Talking of the 2.4 litre 5 banger Alfa engine, does anyone know of a common coolant leak on that engine?

Coolant leaks are not common on the 2.4s to my knowledge.

No thought not, loses about half an expansion bottle a week, dealer says its normal use of coolant pmsl!

I could see slight steaming from RHS of the engine at the front, low down so couldnt really get a good look.

Oh well... dealer job!

The 2.4 5pot never left the Alfas.. Maybe a bi-turbo will make its way into the 159?

And it's also in the Croma.
It would be cool, if Fiat made a twin turbo 2,4 and put it in the Bravo.

Go to another dealer! Mine hasn't used any coolant since I bought it.

I contacted FIAT UK about the availability of the new engines in the Bravo and got the usual '...no plans for any changes to powertrains in the forseeable future...' blah blah.
