General New Serbian Quota

That's a very good question!!! Really don't know, I think they are stored somewhere at dealer's sheds or something like that. Demand for these parts is very low so I recon dealers would be very happy to change Van parts for passenger car replacements...

Shall we have a whip round and buy Jim a transit?:p

I kinda missed me getting roped into this one!

Love the fact that anything that involves 'mad' and travel and pandas always gets my name added to it, thanks! ;)

(Makes me feel dead adventureous rather than someone who asks 'do you want a bag with that' all day, hehe)

Jim

Well, I got some new informations:

1. Whole package (kit) for converting to Panda Van costs about 50€ and there are a couple of kits ready.

2. I've dialed some numbers to find out the procedure on how to export unregistered vehicles from Serbia and I got dizzy and also got some stomach troubles 'cause of idiotic bureaucracy so I can advise you to stay away from that idea.

On the other hand it is quite simple to export already registered vehicle, all you need is proof of sales (in Netherlands this proof/contract is used as legal paper at their's DVLA, don't know about GB) and permission to drive the car given by owner, all sorted in about an hour...

At the moment I am kinda swamped with daily duties... I'll have more time after 15th of March...

I guess it can be done without troubles... Maybe we can make further arrangements via email exchange to avoid "spamming" this topic?

Ok,

Well, first, we have to arrange some sort of transport... I've heard there is an organized Van based transport between London and Belgrade (I'll get the contact number, one of my friends has recently imported Reliant Robin from UK  ).

Second, what is your idea on settling expenses? I've never done something similar...

Third, I can take a picture of all parts of the kit so you'll know what it looks like...

Maybe the best thing is to come in March or April to Belgrade where you can have a nice mug of beer near the river in idyllic spring surrounding ;)

There are loads of "Groupage" services london to belgrade and back. Packing is a must though, dont want any getting damaged. For custom purposes an invoice has to be used. So if you say your selling to me then i pay you. I think what can be done is each pay for parts n then split the transport costs. between whoever is buying one

Well then we know how to "ship" it to UK.

The problem is about invoice and payment I guess... These parts are mostly at the scrapyards (ups, is that a banned word?) and they won't usually give you receipts... So I am curious what type of invoice do you need for your customs?

So, from my point of view plan looks like this: I'll have to go to seller's place, pay for the parts and then pack it up and load it to the van with invoice... I really want to know how are you going to send money to me :D (I don't mean to be impolite and I really do want to help but we Serbs are very cautious when it comes down to finances)...

Ok, we'll get that pro forma invoice sorted...

Paypall, never had any experience but I don't see problems with it...

How much it weighs? Don't have a slightest clue... I'll ask around...

Just for the record you can definatly count me in for one of the van kits ( any chance of a bulkhead also :D)
As for payment, Paypal sounds good just remember to include paypals fees and any costs in the final figure.
If this all comes off, I think I'll owe you a serious drink aswell:worship:
