Pleased to say I think we can make it now, so am looking forward to meeting you guys.

We will be there for the convoy, can get there for 10am, will also stay for food and drink.

What time do you want me to book the table for, 12?

If we arrange table for 1.00pm that should give us plenty of time to get photos, have a good chinwag and pre lunch drink but I'm easy lol.

However, if you think it will be pretty busy at 1pm then 12.00 might be better, especially for parking, might get there before the Vectra Ha! Ha!
Whatever time you did it for last time seemed perfect so go for the same and just let us know.

Right, I'll be deffinitely coming to NFM2, only thing not sure for now is if Mr Melanabb and offspring are coming too. One question though: everybody keep talking about a 'convoy' but can't find any real details and there is no convoy thread... Is anybody coming down M3? and can I tag along?

If anybody wants to join/form a convoy then post in this thread where you are travelling from and your ETA at the Swan and we will see if we can't get something organised.

Melanabb, I can arrange convoy times and places for anyone travelling from the South West or indeed anyone coming anywhere near Bournemouth/Poole/Christchurch but anyone else who would like to travel in company please post as stated above and then we can work something out.

For instance, ShaggyJim and his mate are coming from Portsmouth so they could arrange to rendezvous with Booklady near Southampton, possibly Rownhams Services on the M27 for instance:idea:

Possibly Jamie who is coming from Oxfordshire could meet you at a services on the M3?

As I say, if you post where you are travelling from then I will plot everyones positions on a map and liaise with the relevant parties.

:idea: Just had athought for the "Site Ideas" section of the forum that I might suggest to Ben and that is to have an OPEN post in a thread that is not time limited for editing so that we can all modify the data (a la Wickipedia concept) to keep up to date without having to keep "quoting" sections and adding to them, just a thought but might be useful.

Just as an aside there is a convoy section in which you can post your details for others to see if you prefer to do it that way.

Oh ha ha very funny. Am trying honestly ... but it's our 10 year anniversary so I can't just force a 500 meet on him without sweet talking him can I really? It depends on if he buys me a pressie, if he doesn't then I'm coming to the meet lol. I really do want to join you all so I'll do my best (might just 'happen' to be driving past the swan on the sunday afternoon and say "oo look Mr Heidi, lots of 500 cars shall we stop and take a look?! lol).

Here goes: I'll be travelling from M3 J4a and transferring to M27 at Bishopstoke - and I'll be starting at 9am (with a view to arrive at The Swann Inn around 10ish). I hope to meet other 500s along the way. Hopefully Grimwau might be able to do the complicated logistics maneuvers

Just to confirm, I have booked at the Swan Inn, they won't take a reservation after 12:30, to that is what time I have booked.

They have half a dozen meals on 2 for £10 and there will also be a couple of roast options, plus the normal menu.

We obviously won't fit around 1 table but they will reserve an area for us. I have tried to get part of the car park reserved too, but that may be a bit more tricky.

I will need to know final numbers to confirm with the pub by Thursday 23rd April as I am then away until Saturday night.

Looking forward to seeing you all (again or for the first time).

There is a service station just off the M27 at Ower (Junction 2), it is a slight detour, but no more than 1/4 mile each way. They have a reasonable sized carpark around the back, which we could congregate in?

although that is really near us, we actually have to travel about 10 miles to get to it as there is no access road nearby!!!

Ower, Junction 2 on M27 is pretty accessible and a good point to meet if anyone is coming A36 from Salisbury too.

Yes I only posted this in order to take the mick. All I have to do is find my way to Grimmy's and then I shall be following him round like a lap dog to a slip of a girl. So if you see a slightly overweight middle aged man crying on his surprisingly clean BNW 500 in a layby, you'll know its me and I've failed to keep up.

Anyone who will be passing near Poole/Bournemouth/Christchurch can join Notts and I as we travel to the Swan via the Premier Inn at Somerford (provisional) where we will rendezvous with Snowball.
