General New Fiat 500 Delivery Question?

Hi Everyone,

New here and just ordered my Fiat 500 on Nov. 3rd and got an estimated delivery time of end of December.

It's a Lounge 1.2 with some specific bits added (see attached picture for a mock up) so will probably be a new build.

I was wondering if anyone had recently taken delivery of theirs from a Fiat dealer and could give me an indication as to whether or not they're running on schedule?

Also, as end of december puts us in the middle of all the Christmas and New Year periods, has anyone received one around this time and are there usually any major hold ups caused by time of year and such?

Hi Stephen,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your order.

I can't comment on current build times, but we did order our 500 back in September 2009 which was then due at the end of December.

As it turned out the car came early on the 19th; my understanding from our dealer was that the plant in Poland tried to churn out as many as it could before the Christmas and New Year period.

All I can say really is that things may just happen all of a sudden; with ours the dealer received info that it had been built (and let us know accordingly) - and then rang two days later to say it was coming tomorrow!

Either way I think you have a reasonable chance of it coming before Xmas, but maybe others who have had them delivered recently can chip in here.
