I have just fitted a new exhaust back box to my Fiat 500
I was wanting to upgrade to something a bit different but did not want to have a car that made me sound like a boy racer.
I have spent a long time looking at all the options and have come up with the Ulter Sport Stainless steel back box. It looks great and sounds almost the same as the standard back box just a bit deeper.

It was an easy fit the hardest thing was getting the rubber hangers off of the old back box.
Now the sales bit.... Cartel Parts are the only people selling the stainless steel back boxes in the UK and we will be selling the Fait 500 back box at £220 plus £20 shipping. As usual I am happy to to a deal for Fiat Forum members at £200 plus the shipping.

I must say it is a nice looking back box and the black finish is like the Monza on the A500.
My own '09 back box has a rusty look which surprisingly wasn't on the '08.
Do you plan to do a youtube or are you going to wait for a bit so that the exhaust beds in ?

Silicone based rubber lubricant spray will help. Don't use WD40 as it'll rot the rubber.

Of course, if you're in any doubt about their condition, you might want to replace them, in which case you can use anything or just cut them off. Said silicone spray will help with replacement.

Not much point fitting a £200+ exhaust & having it fall off a few weeks later:cry:

loveshandbags yes a youtube video will come at some point.

RobW, I have asked what grade stainless it is and also why it's coated. I will also find out if I can get one for the Bravo TJet.

jrkitching I made a "tool" from a allen key and a pair of mole grips to get them off in the end and they seem OK. I will keep an eye on them over the next few months.
I am looking at offering a subsidised or maybe even free fitting service at a garage in the future.

RUI, are you still hoping to make it to MITCAR? If not then I'll look forward to seeing/hearing it at the NFM 6. (y)

I am not sure yet...I will see what kind of mood the wife is in on Sat..

What grade stainless and why is it coated?

Do they offer for Fiat Bravo TJet as well?
The grade is 304, they even sent me the inspection certificate for the steel.
I asked why it was painted on the front and on the back and they said that it is just the way that they have always made them like that.

The one thing I forgot to ask was if they offer one for the Fiat Bravo TJet....but I have just emailed them with that question.

Just wondering if this will fit and withstand use with the 1.3MJ (thinking about the 800*C DPF regens running through it)? I notice my factory back box is beginning to deteriorate already.
