i totally agree with the last 3 comments, its a toughy really. but i suppose the wheel being primed just makes it so tempting but then theres the pain in having to go buy more primer and red paint for the others. but then again theres the curiosity. ooooh my

red alloys wont look good unless you got them powerd , you can only get away with spray paints from halfords if its easy bland colours like white or black , i wouldnt waste the time or money myself, stick with black , just colour code everything black and it will look beast

ive just finished the last coat on the wheel and i done it in black. i stuck to the original plan would of just been to much hassle in the end but im happy with the black. next thing to do is get tyres

last night i ordered some tint spray for the original lights gonna give that a whirl and see what i think, probably will use them and sell the 2bs. also finished all the bolts they look pretty cool and then today a little package came which contained my new Abarth centre caps

little pic of bolts and a centre cap, hopefully it'll look good. im sure it will though

That looks so good, well done on the finish to say you did it with rattle cans as well and the bolts and caps just set it off. How you gonna get the bolts on and tight without scratching them too much?

The only thing i can think of is tighten it as much as you can by hand then maybe some cloth around them to get them a bit tighter then maybe finish them off by just biting the bullet lol

yeeh maybe. i did think of getting like a proper artists painting brush like a really small one? and just tighten them up and then patch them up afterwards, because i know you can get some really small brushes that could probably do the job, but then i suppose id have a hard time being able to see which ones are scratched, i dont think the tops would scratch maybe more the sides? so might get away with not even seeing the scratches? ill just have to wait and see i guess

Stupid idea - probably quite cost worthy too, get some very very thin material, double sided sticky it into the wrench? On all sides? it'll take a while to prepare it, but it'll be worth it in the long run perhaps?

yeh thats kinda like my other idea i thought about sticky pads and cutting them to size and sticking them inside the wrench. yeeh definetely i dont care how long it takes tbh aslong it doesnt scratch them lol

glad you didnt turn them red

i didnt use anything on my blue bolts on white alloys and there wasnt 1 scratch, mind you i used alot of lacker on them :whogives:

haha me too mate looks so goood though, if i do say so myself. ah yeh? bit of hope for me then ive given mine a fair few coats aswell. might do a couple more aswell

got my tint spray this morning so i got out in the shed and got to work. if you're interested it was E-tech black smoke, they were £4.95 off ebay

it says on the can to do it in light coats, but i found that one light coat didnt really do much so it would of taken an age to get them completely smoked so i just gave them fairly generous coats and it was alot better and i didnt have any problems with runs or anything so i was pleased. i used 2 cans 1full can (werent big cans) on each light.

the lights without the reflectors masked

im very pleased with the results :) they turned out really good. ill get some pics up later of them on the car aswell

p.s the MK2bs are in the classifieds ;)
