Proxi, Custom Proxi and iOS version of MES.

I can confirm that the iOS version of MES has Proxi BUT DOES NOT have the Custom Proxi function.

I contacted the developer and this was his response. "The iOS Multiecuscan has the regular PROXI alignment. The “custom PROXI” is not available there"

It is my understanding the the so called Custom Proxi was an unofficial early development feature used for testing that got leaked and then people started to use it so it was left in MES.

Missed this discussion even though I think I’m quoted in it :)
I have MES running just fine on my iPhone 15, using a Bluetooth reader supplied by Gendan (from memory I think it’s a VXLinker MX+ or a name very like that.). All seems to work perfectly. Gendan were very helpful, and clarified that MES works fine on iOS devices m, but that those devices only work with some (the more expensive!) Bluetooth plugin units. The cheap eBay/Amazon ones don’t use Bluetooth v4, apparently. Yes, it’s an annual fee but works out as 13p a day, which I’m happy with.

The same Bluetooth unit and the £4.99 version of CarScanner also works beautifully with my 2013 ‘Puma’ Defender, which was a useful ‘plus’

So you also can confirm that the custom proxi alignment is not available on MES app on iOS devices?

I believe it isn’t. But also, as another reply mentioned, you shouldn’t need to use a custom version.
its obviously necessary if one wants to install a newer radio to activate AA or Carplay. (modifications of the PROXI alignment at byte 157 for carplay and byte 160 for AA have to be made.) believe me, i dont want to do it if its not necessary. ;)
