The following is how I set up to use Multiecuscan on my laptop running windows 10.

Download Multiecuscan to Laptop
Purchase Multiecuscan licence to register copy

Purchase OBD Link SX red cable - OBD port to Laptop USB port (I got one from Amazon $80 AUD)

Purchase Adaptor cables (4 pack from OBD2 Australia $48 AUD)

The following is what I have used on Fiat Ducato

2007-2012 only need Red OBD Link SX to read all modules

2012 to 2016 Use Yellow adaptor to access Engine & Gearbox.
For other modules use the Red OBD Link SX cable only

Hi @Kahcorp , Likewise, but I have put most of that in the drawer and now use just the Vgate Vlinker MS available from the the store: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?...fficial&_oac=1&_trksid=p4429486.m3561.l161211 No need for adapter cables.

Does the Vgate Vlinker MS work with Ducato 2007 through to 2016 as I work on a number of vehicles.
No experience on that, but I would assume (always have to be careful with assumptions) that if the OBD Link SX with/without adapters works on a vehicle, then the MS should. I have only used it on 2017 2.3L twin EGR and also 2021 2.3L AdBlue. I have used what you have got and also the MS. I use the MS now as no adapters required, no cable means you can have the PC outside the vehicle as well.

Yes that's right we cannot assume.
The Link SX works on its own up to 2012 I have found but I need Yellow adaptor for engine & gearbox from 2012 to 2016 as this is the latest I have worked on.
So the adaptor is switching so my thinking would be that the Vgate would have to have automatic switching for me to do the same with that.

This quote from MES: Vgate vLinker MS/Multiecuscan is a special multiplexed interface that can connect to newer CAN-only vehicles without the need of additional adapter cables. It is the only supported Bluetooth interface that can reliably perform PROXI alignment and other special procedures.
