Hi all,
After I purchased multiecuscan I have tried to find some parameters that can tell me about my fuel/air ratio or some fuel economy (like Ltft and Stft). I couldnt find it... The only thing that I found is lambda sensor 1 integrator.
For example, most recomend fra or dtv parameters, Or Mixture correction learning value (for long term fuel trim) but I couldnt find them.
IF Someone has any other suggestions, I would like to know.
MY engine computer is magneti Marelli iaw 5sf (mk2 panda with the 500 engine)
 
I think it does... Very disappointing from MES... It can be related to the fact that these engines are not using maf sensor?
 
I believe by law anything to do with emissions has to be accessible


scanmaster, torque and the likes with a cheap elm interface read the short and long term trims on the older Puntos. Which is basically the same system.


I have never tried them on the Panda


I can check next week if WOW or Delphi will if you like. But neither are cheap.

I managed to do it with the obdlink app and obdlink ex cable (Im using samsung otg adapter). But, Im getting weird number, e.g. 99% Ltft. Maybe Im not reading it right.
Ill try torque pro.

All panda lovers, how you monitor your fuel trims?? I cheaked many apps and softwears and I couldnt get these parameters):
Torque and obdlink apps output 99.2 which means that there is no input from o2 sensor. After long driving and after I cheaked that the pre cat o2 sensor is in close loop, I got some random bumps, most of the time with the Stft (when I say random, I mean a bump from 99.22 to 2 and the to 5 and then back to 99.2... Ltft is quit stady at the 99.22).
ANY idea? Its realy frustrating.....
 
Long term fuel trim and short term fuel trim are not an induction of fuel economy.

If you don't get a lambda sensor fault code then it is reasonably certain that the engine ecu is able to control the fuel air mixture within correct parameters.

If ecu enters closed loop it is definately using o2 sensor to adjust fuel air within parameters.


On other vehicles where you can read the long term fuel trim it can give advance notice of a problem developing.

You are absolutely right. But, in order to make a better diagnosis, Ltft and Stft are good measurements. I cant understand why I cant get them with the panda
 
with torque Pro have you loaded the manufactures extended PID's (eobd)

I don't use torque Pro. but this screenshot might point in the right direction

You are right.
But, sadly, I dont have any of them (nither the mixture correction nor the fra and dtv).
In addition, I have no answer from the multiecuscan forum. Im trying to think what is the reasone, but I cant find a good one ):
